Staying Relevant in Talent Development:

Don't Get Left Behind

Presented by: Bernadette Costello

As talent development professionals, we give great advice.  We promote continual learning and tell people to be lifelong learners.  We often do not listen to our own best advice to our learners.  We get caught up in the learning of others and neglect our own.  The talent development field is continually growing and changing.  Are you ready for the next evolution?

Use this session to get clear about where you want your learning journey to take you and create a learning map that acts as your learning GPS. You will leave the session having set a clear career journey vision and action steps identified that you can work on immediately.

About the Speaker: Bernadette Costello is an accomplished coach and consultant with over 25 years of experience in government and higher education organizations with expertise in creating comprehensive supervisory, management and leadership development programs, managing human resources and talent and development programs, and executive coaching in public, non-profit and private organizations. She has worked with elected officials, executive leaders, community leaders, citizen groups, and employees at all organizational levels. Bernadette served as the President of the Metro DC Chapter of the Association of Talent Development, the Chair of the Association’s (ATD) Leader’s Conference Program Advisory Committee and as a member of IPMA’s (International Personnel Management Association) HR Competency Model review group to make revisions and modifications to the Association’s HR Competency Program. Bernadette received a Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Illinois University, a Master in Public Administration from the UNC at Chapel Hill and a doctorate in Higher Education from George Mason University.  Bernadette also holds a CPC coaching credential.
