***New in 2024***SIG meetings are now open to members and guests.  There are no limits to the number of SIG meetings a guest can attend.  All are welcome.

Process

• SIG meeting dates and topics are promoted on the GRATD website, emails, and LinkedIn page.
  
• Each SIG determines their own meeting schedule and location based on participant input.
• Meetings discuss a pre-determined topic and/or topic determined the day of.  
• Meetings are facilitated by a SIG leader and/or member. 
• Discussions include research related to the topic, the experiences of the participants, and questions that come up.

Active SIGs

• Leadership SIG: Think-tank style forum to discuss topics related to talent management and learning, leadership, strategy, and more. Learn and share ideas, experiences, and knowledge with local leaders in the industry.

Become a SIG Leader

Is a SIG you're interested in not currently meeting? Do you have another topic you're passionate about? Consider volunteering to lead a SIG!

SIG leaders are volunteers who commit five to seven (5-7) hours each month to monitoring and facilitating a SIG for fellow GRATD members who share in their interest.

SIG leaders receive a complimentary GRATD membership for their service. Email support@richmondatd.org for more information on the benefits of leading a SIG for our chapter. Duties include the following:

• Setting the goals and objectives for the group
• Coordinating an agenda
• Negotiating a meeting place
• Sending out meeting notices
• Facilitating a meeting
• Engaging SIG group members
• Communicating with the VP of Programming
• And, most importantly, assisting the Special Interest Group in meeting its goals and objectives
