You hear a lot of talk in the Learning & Development community these days about project management skills and how they can be used to deliver learning and performance solutions that better support business goals.

This interactive session will introduce you to some of the key concepts of project management including:

  • Defining the roles of the project manager, project sponsor, and other key individuals on a project
  • Identifying and managing project risks
  • Communicating project status to stakeholders
  • Planning, tracking, and monitoring multiple learning projects

Our discussion will be facilitated by Sharon Robbins, a Director with Bluestone Process Dynamics. Sharon brings over 25 years of project management, process improvement, change management, facilitation, and leadership experience. She has taught Project Management for GE Financial, Boston University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and local PMI chapters. Her credentials include: Master Black Belt (MBB), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile SCRUM Master (CSM), and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) certification. Sharon has been an active volunteer with the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1995 in a number of Officer and committee roles.
